A Legacy Built on Rocks, Learning, and Community

Serving generations of rockhounds through education, craftsmanship, and shared passion.

Established in 1958

Our Story

Founded in 1958, The Rock Rollers began as a nonprofit rockhounding club dedicated to bringing together individuals like you who share a passion for earth sciences and lapidary arts. From the very beginning, the focus has been on encouraging the study and collection of minerals, fossils, and semi-precious gemstones while creating a welcoming space for all experience levels.

A Tradition of Gem & Mineral Shows

The club’s gem and mineral shows began in 1959 and have grown into a long-standing tradition. What started as a modest event has evolved into a major gathering featuring 45 to 50 dealers and vendors each year, giving you access to a wide range of materials and experiences.

Learning Through Hands-On Displays

As a member or visitor, you’ll see curated displays created by fellow enthusiasts, ranging from minerals and fossils to beadwork, carvings, and handcrafted jewelry. One of the highlights is the blacklight mineral display, where certain specimens reveal vibrant colors under UV light.

The club also partners with the Eastern Washington University Geology Club, giving you access to additional educational insights through their annual booth.
